Bloodborne on PC
After years of waiting Sony to release a PC port of the popular souls like, finally I managed to play it!
Although I own a legit PS4 copy of the game, I have not been able to play it because I didn't want to buy a Play Station just to play one or two games. Furthermore, as there were some rumors about Sony making a remake for PC, I kept waiting some years.
At the end of last year, it became public that Sony was indeed developing a remake. However the release was cancelled due to development problems... so my only option was to try the emulation.
It has not been easy to run it, since I have an Intel based computer and the shadPS4 emulator does not fully support it yet. Below is the configuration I use and the mods I've nstalled to get it running almost smoothly. I am using ShadPS4 v.0.13.0 on GNU/Linux Fedora 43:
ShadPS4 patches
- Skip Intro
- Disable Motion Blur
- TaskSplit patch
- Intel 12th Gen+ SFW workaround
- Disable HTTP requests
- Resolution patch 720p
Installed Mods
You can find these mods in Nexus mods page.
- v28 Fixed Crash on lecture building and One Reborn
- Vertex Explosion fix
Found problems
- Facial rendering, after some time of playing, triggers vertex explosion.
- Running at 60 FPS causes some cinematics to break the game.
- Random sound glitches occur after being hit once during one of the initial boss fights.
